Our friends at FoodNet Food Bank, who do so much great work here in Acadiana, need our help. They know that hunger does not 'take a vacation' during the summer months, and the need for food increases when kids are out of school, in homes that may be struggling to put something on the table.

FoodNet Food Bank is challenging all church, service, social, work, bible study, book club, workout or any other type of community groups to take the challenge and donate 100 food items to help out. The '100 Food Item Challenge' will be held through the end of August, and is desperately needed for our brothers and sisters right here at home. All donations will be graciously accepted, and will stay here in Acadiana.

Some of the items most needed include:

  • Tuna
  • Peanut Butter
  • Dru Beans
  • Canned Meat
  • Chili
  • Soup
  • Pasta
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Macaroni & Cheese
  • Cornbread Mix

Donations can be dropped off at the FoodNet Warehouse, 217 Surrey St. in Lafayette, on Mondays,Wednesdays,Thursdays, and Fridays, from 8:00 am. – 1:00 pm. To schedule any other time for donation drop off, call 337-232-3663.

Let's help out our friends who need us this summer, ya'll!
