Fiona Apple Cancels Tour to Be With Her Dying Dog

Singer Fiona Apple rescued a dog fourteen years ago, when she was  twenty-one years old. The pitbull puppy was 4 months old at the time. She named her Janet. They've been through a lot together over the last fourteen years. When Fiona learned of Janet's impending death, she decided to cancel her South American Tour and take some time off to be with her best friend to the end. She wrote a heart-wrenching letter to her facebook friends, which you can read in full here, in which she asks for the blessing of her fans as she decides she "will not be the woman who puts her career ahead of love and friendship."
