Five stages of music, the Bayou Food Fest, Fine Arts and Crafts, Children's Activities, LA Sports Tent, Chef Demos, all kicked off with the official boudin cutting - it's time for the 41st annual Festivals Acadiens et Creoles! Official activities for the festival will take place at Girard Park in Lafayette October 7-11, and will kick off Friday night at 4:00 with the TintaMardiGras and Fais Do Do, and run all the way through Sunday at 6:30.

Get an official pocket guide for a complete entertainment schedule, and don't forget, the  festival shuttle to Girard Park has changed locations this year due to the Ragin' Cajun Football game on October 10 at Cajun Field.

The Bayou Food Festival has everything we love about eating here in Acadiana, and vendors will be on hand serving hungry festival goers beginning Friday night.

If arts and crafts are your thing, then make plans to head to the Louisiana Crafts Fair to get all of your holiday shopping done from the wonderful local and regional artisans who will be on site with beautiful hand made goods. And you won't miss out on any football action, because the Louisiana Sports Tent will be in the park with all of your Ragin' Cajun, Tigers, and Saints games on the big screen.

Kids are a big part of any festival in Acadiana, and there is plenty for the little ones to do in La Place des Petits, with games and crafts throughout the weekend.

It's going to be a great weekend celebrating cajun and creole food, music, art, culture, and everything we love about Acadiana. We'll see you in Girard Park for the 41st annual Festivals Acdiens et Creoles, sha!
