It has been almost a year since the Savoy Music Center in Eunice was burglarized and the final of four suspects was booked into the St. Landry Parish jail this week.

St. Landry Parish Crime Stoppers spokesperson Maj. Eddie Thibodeaux reported 32-year-old Bonnie Marie Parker was arrested after someone tipped off authorities to her whereabouts via Facebook.

Thibodeaux said someone tipped off authorities on Saturday (July 23).

The burglary occurred on Aug. 16, 2015. Investigators determined the four suspects stole two rifles and an undisclosed amount of cash from the store. The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office and the Louisiana State Police worked cooperatively to arrest the first three suspects.

Parker was booked on the following charges:

  • Accessory to Simple Burglary
  • 2 Counts of Theft of Firearm
  • Accessory to Theft of Money
  • Two Counts of Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm

Her bond was set at $18,500.

“Since assigning Major Thibodeaux to Crime Stoppers, the Facebook page has been reorganized," said Sheriff Bobby Guidroz. "Tipsters can scroll through the page and look for past crimes and wanted persons.  Often times Facebook is used to spread hate/racism or just social updates but this shows that when used for crime information page, results can lead to the arrest of fugitives and the solving of crimes.”
