Yes, this is real life. King Cake baby nudity is too much for Facebook.

KingCakeSnob claims that Facebook banned their ad for "excessive nudity". The ad in question featured a glittered white background with a group of king cake babies lying on their backs.

When they tried to pay Facebook to run an ad, this is the alert they received:

"This ad isn’t running because it includes an image or video depicting excessive skin or nudity, which includes medical diagrams depicting external organs of reproduction, breasts or butt. This kind of material is sensitive in nature."

The king cake baby, of course, represents baby Jesus. Who, when born, was indeed naked. So, a plastic representation that is a large part of Louisiana culture that has been celebrated for well over a century is too much for Facebook.

Here's your warning this carnival season...dress your king cake babies up in swaddling clothing before you post it on Facebook!
