Explosion At New Iberia Chemical Plant Update

There's still no word on what chemicals were involved in a late afternoon explosion and fire at the Multi-Chem plant in New Iberia. Company officials confirmed last night that there were no injuries. The blast occurred in a storage facility and forced a one-mile evacuation of the surrounding area.
