The Junior League of Lafayette is accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations to fund projects that fill a community need. A total amount of $85,000 will be awarded, and will be distributed in amounts ranging from $1,000 - $10,000 depending upon the need and overall cost of the project. In addition, trained volunteers are available and will be assigned to assist with these projects.

Community projects should be completed between September 16, 2013 and April 30, 2014. Priority will be extended to applications that are in the Junior League’s focus area: the general well-being of women and the healthy development of children. Applications should also be congruent with the Junior League of Lafayette’s mission: a commitment to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. The deadline for applications is 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Junior League of Lafayette Headquarters.
