UPDATE (3/17): Welcome — the song has arrived! Listen to "Welcome To The Show" above, and grab it over on iTunes.

Adam Lambert just made this dreary Monday morning a whole lot more bearable for the Glambert community.

After teasing a big announcement last night on Twitter, the Original High superstar made good on his word and revealed the news early this morning: He's dropping a brand new single on Thursday (March 17) called "Welcome To The Show," featuring Swedish singer-songwriter Laleh — and we've already got a snippet of the upcoming tune, which you can hear above. And yes, it sounds promising.

But what's this all about? Here's what we know so far:

The song is brand new.

The track was recorded in NYC recently while on a day off from his The Original High Tour, according to the press release.

Prepare to be inspired.
This one's going to be empowering: “I wanted to surprise my fans with a new, uplifting anthem for the spring...I feel this song will give people strength to be exactly who they are," Adam says of his new song.

The track was produced by Max Martin, and co-written with Ali Payami and Laleh.

Max Martin executive produced The Original High, and Payami co-produced several of the songs, including "Ghost Town" and "Another Lonely Night." Laleh, who is featured on "Welcome To The Show," has also written for Tori Kelly and Demi Lovato, including "Stone Cold," "Yes" and "Father" on Confident.

He's about to return to the stage.

"Welcome To The Show," indeed: Adam will debut the song live on the American Idol stage this Thursday, March 17.

He's taking us behind-the-scenes.

Ever the generous entertainer, Adam uploaded a second teaser of "Welcome To The Show," this time with behind-the-scenes footage in the studio during the making of the song.
