About the Cunningham Foundation: The Cunningham Foundation was founded in memory of Jennifer Cunningham. At the young age of 23\, Jennifer took her own life. Jennifer was a shy\, but sweet girl. She had a smile that lit up a room and eyes that sparkled. She touched the lives of so many people; and all were truly saddened at the loss. Jennifer graduated from Erath High School in 2007. Just two weeks prior to her death\, she attended her five year class reunion. The news of her death was shocking and impacted her classmates greatly. Two of her classmates\, Seth Hollier and Jeremiah Broussard\, realized that there are so many others who have suffered this pain; and decided that it was time to help those people. The Erath High School Class of 2007 have come together once again. We are going to use this tragedy to build something wonderful. Jennifer would want that. The Cunningham Foundation reaches out to those who have had the tragic experience of losing a loved one to suicide. It also desires to support those who want to pursue a career that will aid those who are struggling with thoughts of suicide and those who are struggling with a loss as a result of suicide. Paige was diagnosed with epileptic seizures and was put on a new medication in combination with her old medication to help control epileptic seizures. She had a rare\, severe reaction to the new medication known as Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN) which is the most severe form of Steven Johnson Syndrome. Over 77% of her body is affected by this. It causes her to burn from the inside out and makes her skin blister then fall off. It also affects her eyes\, which can eventually cause blindness. She was admitted into Shriner’s in Galveston\, TX where she has been in ICU (the week before Easter). She will need long term care once she gets out such as physical therapy and continuous care on her eyes. Her eyes have taken a tremendous toll. You can follow updates on Paige's Facebook page here.
