National Children's Grief Awareness Day is held every year on the Thursday before Thanksgiving. This is an important time of the year to support grieving children because the holiday season is often a difficult time after a death. This event seeks to bring attention to the fact that support and comfort can make all of the difference in the life of a grieving child.

National Children's Grief Awareness Day will be held Thursday, November 15 hosted by the Healing House at Parc Sans Souci in downtown Lafayette. This day will provide us the opportunity to recognize and support the grieving children we see in our daily lives.

The community is invited to come and show their support to the children whom are dealing with an unimaginable loss of a loved one. Wear blue, the color of Children's Grief Awareness. For more information visit healing-house.org.
