Music & Market begins today October 18, 2013 with Louisiana Red in Downtown Opelousas. The free concert series will last from 5:30 - 8:30 pm. on the grounds of the historic Courthouse Square. The entertainment will kick off at 6:00 sharp!

Louisiana Red is professional party-dance band based in Lafayette, Louisiana. The band plays a variety of songs that will accommodate all ages and all functions. Louisiana Red performs at events such as Mardi Gras Balls, Company Christmas Parties, Weddings, Festivals, and many other venues needing a versatile band with a terrific sounds and song selections. The band is a combination of seven well-seasoned musicians that bring years of experience and unique styles to the mix. Their music selection includes swamp pop, top 40, dance classics, funk, country, disco, Cajun and zydeco. In addition to live music by Louisiana Red, Friday’s event will feature a brief performance at 5:45 p.m. by members of the Bailamor and Jambalaya Jypsies belly dance troop.
