March 3 LGMC will host its annual stroke screening event. This is a free stroke screening for the public. We check cholesterol, heart rate, blood pressure, blood glucose, height, weight, BMI, and FREE Carotid ultrasounds. In addition to all the free testing, every person will meet with a physician to discuss their results and stroke risk. Also, participants showing blockage on their carotid ultrasounds will have a free vascular surgeon consult to advise them on seeking care for their blockage. We screened 113 people last year. We offer appointments from 7:30 till 11am through our community relations office 289-8600.
