Additional Information

Downtown Lafayette's Movies in the Parc presented by Cox features family friendly movies under the stars in Parc International. Take the family and bring a blanket to enjoy, "Jurassic Park", on November 5. This movie commemorates the Lafayette Science Museum's blockbuster exhibition, "Dinosaurs: Ancient Fossils, New Discoveries". Before the show, children will be able to find their own fossils in the museums "dig site".

Combining the latest in special effects with masterful storytelling, an age-old fantasy becomes a reality as dinosaurs are genetically re-created for the ultimate theme park in this adaptation of Michael Crichton's best-selling novel, Jurassic Park. The adventure begins in wonder and excitement for the park's first visitors, but soon takes a suspenseful turn as the dinosaurs break out of their carefully constructed environment and begin to wreak havoc.

Gates open at 6 p.m., and admission is $2 and free for children 5 and under. Parking is available at Parc-Auto du Centreville at Polk and Vermilion Streets. Concessions are available on site.
