Henderson Christmas Parade

The Henderson Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 17th. Line up will begin at 1:00 on Frank Wyatt Rd behind Picard's Auto Parts and will run through Henderson to Henry Guidry Memorial P...ark.

For registration and information, call Vickie at 337-519-0999. Email address is HendersonChristmasParade@yahoo.com. Parade packets can be emailed, faxed or picked up at the Henderson City Hall during normal business hours.

The parade entry fee is $25.00 (non refundable) and a $10.00 fee for approved ATV's. ATV's and golf carts will have to be picked up at the end of the route and will not be allowed back on the street after the parade is over.

After advertising & award expenses, any additional proceeds received will be donated to Toys for Tots along with any new unwrapped donated toys.

General Rules

Please report to the parade official beginning at 1:00 PM. Entries MUST be present 1 hour prior to the start of the parade.

All entries must maintain a space of 50 feet from the entry ahead. If an entry stalls or stops, the parade will move around it. Any entry not completing the route as a complete unit will be disqualified. The determination of entry placement and category is governed by the Parade Director and is final.

Bands must play continuously, with no more than eight complete cadences between selections. Forward motion must be maintained at all times.

Parade participants must have their own liability insurance. You must have
proof of liability vehicle insurance for the entry inspectors to see.

All vehicle entries must play Christmas music.

Any entry violating the rules governing the parade will be immediately removed from the parade and will be subject to disqualification from future parade participation.

Ribbons will be awarded following the conclusion of the parade in the Henry Guidry Memorial Park. Please make every effort to attend the awards ceremony. Ribbons not claimed at the awards presentation must be picked up at The City Hall in Henderson during normal business hours. Judge's decisions are FINAL.

This is a holiday parade and children are especially encouraged to participate, as individuals or as a group. We welcome commercial floats, and tasteful advertising is allowed.

The Henderson Christmas Parade is a long time tradition. We recognize that it is not always possible. However, the general theme of the parade is "Christmas" and we require that every entry follow that general theme. The Henderson Christmas Parade reserves the right to determine the overall appropriateness of any entry in the and to deny entry to anyone not adhering to the general theme of the parade.
