Helping Reese See A Brighter Future Glow Run 5k and 1 mile fun run on September 24, 2016 at 6 PM in Sugar Mill Pond. The race was put together for my son Reese who was born with congenital nystagmus. Nystagmus is involuntary eye movement or "wobbly eyes". His eyes are constantly moving. Due to the constant movement his vision is blurry. He has to put things very close to his face to see. Since he was diagnosed we were told that there was nothing to do for the nystagmus. I found a surgeon in California, Dr. Lingua, who developed a near surgical cure. He has had a lot of success with slowing the nystagmus. By slowing the nystagmus their vision improves. The money raised will help pay for surgery and travel cost. We will have to spend 10 days in California. It will be a family event. We will have fun jumps for the kids, zumba for a warmup prior to race, 1 mile fun run, glow run 5k, jambalaya, etc. This will be Youngsville's first glow run.
