The Jeanerette Bicentennial Museum is pleased to host the one hour film viewing of Dancehalls of South Louisiana, led by ULL documentary filmmaker and folklorist John Sharp. The film includes an introduction by Mr. Sharp along with a brief history discussion on Louisiana dancehalls. The event will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9 at the Jeanerette Museum. This program is held free of charge and is suitable for an adult audience.

Sharp, assistant director of research at the Center for Louisiana Studies at ULL, will share his research and expertise on local dancehalls while audience has the chance to view his latest film. The even it free of charge and suitable for an adult audience.
