Additional Information

The Children’s Museum of Acadiana is proud to present Candy Cane Lane, a holiday event & exhibit for the entire family! The Candy Cane Lane Exhibit transports visitors to a place of holiday cheer and wonderment. Young and old will delight in viewing a holiday village full of tiny shops and homes, streets and lanes, neighborhoods and villages of the miniature wonderland. Kids can dress up as elves, work in Santa’s workshop and can even build a snowman, in Acadiana! There are two events to celebrate the opening of this magnificent exhibit; The Candy Cane Lane Gala and The Candy Cane Lane Peppermint Tea.

The Candy Cane Lane Gala is just for the adults at the museum on November 30, 2012 from 7- 10 pm for holiday food, drink & rockin’ around the Christmas tree with the Tip Tops, a high-energy dance and show band based out of Mobile, AL.

After the adults have their fun the kids get to join in the celebration at The Peppermint Tea on December 2, 2012 from 3-5 pm. Create holiday memories for kids, parents and grandparents. There will be pictures with Santa, Story Telling with Mrs. Claus and a Children’s Museum of Acadiana twist on high tea.

Parking and Transportation by Trolley will be provided for both events at the Iberia Bank Tower downtown. To purchase tickets for these events visit candycanelane.eventbrite.com. Tickets for the Gala are $75 per person and tickets for the Peppermint Tea are $30 per person. These events are sure to be the events of the holiday season!

Candy Cane Lane is made possible with the generous donation by Anne and David Calhoun, who donated an extraordinary collection of Department 56 Holiday Villages. This generous gift has provided the Children’s Museum of Acadiana with the perfect opportunity to create what promises to become a favorite holiday tradition for Acadiana families. The CMA hopes you and your family join the museum for the events of the holiday season!
