5K Glow Run on da Bayou for Childhood Diabetes Expense Relief

Additional Information
This is a family fun walk/run to raise awareness about Childhood Diabetes as well as benefit local children suffering with this disease. For this year's event, awards will be handed out to the top 3 finishers in 3 age groups, and the to male and female for each group as well. Time will be kept by a professional race timing company, Lavoro, LLC from Lafayette. Runners arriving after race start may begin at their leisure.
Event Details:
Pre-registration deadline will be midnight on Friday, June 23, 2017.
Registration on race day will begin at 5:00pm and will end promptly at 7:45pm.
The race will begin at 8:15pm sharp.
Pre-registered participants that register before 6/20 will receive a shirt, glow wear and race bag at the event.
Participants can bring their own glow items to the event. Free face painting will be done as well, starting at 7:00pm.
Drinks and music will be provided during and after the race.
Everyone over the age of 6 must register as a runner, or pay a $10 non-runner entry fee and receive a wristband.
All paid participants and non-runners will eat for free during the event.
We will have several fun jumps available and many other activities for the kids, so bring them along, they will have a blast!
Route:
The run will start at the west entrance of the Jennings Park & Recreation parking lot and travel east on East Academy, turning right onto River Oak Dr., circling the subdivision and retracing the route back to the starting line.
