The 40th Annual Vermilion Parish Jr. Livestock Show and Sale will be January 24 and 25, 2014 at Cecil McCrory Exhibit Building, also known as the 4-H Showbarn. 200 4-H boys and girls from throughout Vermilion Parish will showcase their livestock. 35 sheep, 161 hogs, 14 goats, and 132 beef calves will be there to view.
All market animals (116 hogs, 23 lambs, 3 goats, 1 steer and 5 commercial heifers) will be sold to the highest bidder during the sale, which begins at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25. Animals are delivered to their respective buyer at the conclusion of the district and state shows, which end February 15, 2014.
