Steve Wiley will broadcast live from 10am-12pm at Opelousas Lighthouse Mission’s annual Hunters for the Hungry food drive will be held on Sunday, September 23th. Local sportsmen and their families are encouraged to “clean out your freezers” and donate frozen processed game and fish from the 2011 season. Collection sites will be set up throughout Lafayette and other area communities.
All donations will be used to feed the needy through the Opelousas Lighthouse Mission’s shelter and programs, just one of the many ways the center fulfills its mission of assisting needy members of the community to become self-sufficient.
If you'd like to volunteer on the day of the event to help greet the donors, unload donations, record them and distribute receipts, please contact Johnny Carriere at (337) 692-7988 or via email at olmissions@gmail.com.
Last year’s drive was a huge success with collecting over 8,000 lbs. of food which provided 24,000 meals to the impoverished and homeless in the Acadiana area.

• LAFAYETTE – ULL Cajun Field
• NEW IBERIA – ZBEST CARS
• CARENCRO – Carencro Fire Station
