As many of you can hear, KTDY has been off the air since mid-afternoon Saturday.  I had just knocked wood about 15 minutes prior to going off the air, thanking the universe for keeping us on the air.  Well, it didn't work.

Our transmitter is in Parks, Louisiana.  The road out to our tower site looks like it's part of the Basin right now.  Both our fairly new main transmitter and our older workhorse backup transmitter are standing in water in the main transmitter building.

The water is down significantly, but still at record levels.  Engineers took a boat out to the site to take a look.  Here is what they sent back.

Flooding At KTDY Transmitter Site

Until we sort this out, please listen to KTDY still streaming at 999KTDY.COM and with our free phone app RADIOPUP.
