Employee Of Lafayette Crime Lab Faces Drug Charges

Narcotics agents have arrested an employee of the Lafayette crime lab. 47 year old Brian Rabeaux was taken into custody Thursday, after a search of his home revealed various pills, 1 gram of cocaine, 61 grams of marijuana, and a firearm. Several minors were reportedly in the home when it was searched. The home is within 2000 feet of both Cathedral Carmel and Lafayette Middle school. KATC reports, Rabeaux faces multiple charges, including  possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Schedule II and IV drugs, possession of a firearm with drugs, possession of drugs in the presence of juveniles, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a drug-free zone.
