Elton John Concerned for Lady Gaga’s Health
Elton John, who just endured a health scare of his own that required hospitalization and canceling of gigs, has spoken about his concern for Lady Gaga‘s health. What a concerned friend Sir Elton is, and he has every right to be. Mama Monster is the godmother of his son, Zachary.
The Rocket Man told The Guardian Weekend (quotes courtesy of Contact Music) that “I look at Gaga and I think, ‘How does she do it?’ I talk to her mum and dad about it. They worry.”
Well of course Ma and Pa Germanotta worry about their daughter, recently christened the most popular global celebrity on the planet by a social media stat service. Gaga is touring the world on her massive Born This Way Ball tour and it’s taking a toll on her overall well-being.
The fact that she gives everything to her little monsters and puts 110 percent into her performances, often at a cost to herself, is something Gaga prides herself on and wears like a badge of honor. A gold-plated, leather-studded, diamond-encrusted, incredibly fashionable badge of honor, mind you!
Elton continued, “She is frail, and she doesn’t eat when she should do, and she’s a girl, and it’s tougher for a girl. She works really hard. She will be in Denmark one night and Saudi Arabia the next. I know how tiny she is and I do worry about her, yes.”
Aw, isn’t that sweet? Elton is just expressing normal concerns, since pop stars tend to put fans and work first, in the ultimate sacrifice. Gaga is no exception.
We all hope Gaga eats right and takes care of herself, because we love her too!
Another critical element to Elton’s concern is Gaga’s role in his son’s life. In Italian culture, the role of a godparent is one of the most important – anyone who has seen ‘The Godfather’ knows that. Gaga grew up in an Italian household, so she likely takes her role as Zachary’s godmother super seriously. Hopefully she will take heed Elton John’s words, and eat better and take care of herself.
