Eat Lafayette Adventures – Antler’s (sponsored)
CJ and I had a wonderful lunch Wednesday at Antler’s and let me tell you, if you work downtown you are one lucky person. If you don’t, make it a point to be lucky at lunchtime!I hadn’t been there in ages, so I’m happy that Eat Lafayette brought me back to this Hub City institution. They serve lunch weekdays from 11am-2pm including red beans & rice, fried shrimp, grilled fish and a turkey pastrami melt. The French Onion soup, Grilled Redfish and the plate lunch Wednesday were great! The plate was heaped with Smothered Chicken, rice & gravy, sweet peas, corn maque choux that reminded CJ of his Grandma’s, and bread. You won’t leave hungry, that’s for sure! And it was delicious! Make plans to have lunch downtown at Antler’s, 555 Jefferson Street and while you’re there, register for the Cruise to be given away in August as part of Eat Lafayette, sponsored by Mondavi Wines, Fly Lafayette and Louisiana Hot Sauce.
