Tomorrow marks the beginning of early voting for the 2016 municipal/special primary election. KATC reports that Secretary of State Tom Schedler is ask all Louisianians eligible to vote in the Saturday, April 9, 2016 election to consider voting early.

Early voting begins Saturday, March 26 and continues through Saturday, April 2 from 8:30 A.M. to 6 P.M. each day, except for Sunday, March 27.

'Saturdays are always busy for individuals and families, especially with Easter and Spring break. I am urging our state's voters to think ahead and consider early voting now,' Schedler told KATC.

Voters can use Louisiana's smartphone app, GeauxVote Mobile, to find out where to vote, what's on their ballot and their voting districts. Forty parishes throughout Louisiana will be holding elections.
