Dying Mom, Darlene Gant, Begs for ‘Compassionate Use’ of Cancer Drug

A young mother named Darlene Gant posted a video on YouTube, asking for the release of a drug called Pertuzumab, not yet approved by the FDA,  for 'compassionate use.' With Mother's Day right around the corner, and the death of my sister-in-law from breast cancer in 2007, her story really affected me. Her plea will touch your heart. Watch it below.The medicine is scheduled to be released in June, but that will likely be too late for her. The video quickly got thousands of views and generated lots of calls to the drug-maker. The company agreed to release the drug and she received her first treatment last week, according to CNN.
