This Tuesday, July 3 Louisiana State Police, and the Abbeville Police Department, will set up a DUI Checkpoint in Vermilion Parish from 10:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. Troopers will be looking for impaired drivers, aggressive drivers and unrestrained occupants.
Troopers have a zero tolerance policy for impaired persons operating a motor vehicle.   Impairment doesn't mean only that caused by alcohol.

A driver under the influence of

narcotic medications, illegal substances, or certain over-the-counter medication they  can be arrested for DUI.
If you see an aggressive or impaired driver you can report them by calling *LSP (*577) or your local law enforcement agency.
