‘Drive Sober Or Get Pulled Over’ Campaign Kicks Off

It's that time year, joy & holiday cheer! If you've done too much celebrating, hand the keys off. Dec. 13th is the kickoff of the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign. It runs through New Years Day. Law enforcement agencies have teamed up statewide to keep drunk drivers off the road, and save lives. KATC reports there were 1,300 injuries and 12 traffic fatalities during last year's Christmas season. More than 50% of the fatalities involved alcohol.
Police agencies statewide will have extra patrols on the highway. Louisiana has a Zero Tolerance policy.
