According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, Thursday, March 13, Interstate 10 eastbound will be reduced to one lane to allow crews to perform repairs to the Sawmill Road overpass.

This closure will take place along Interstate 10 at Louisiana Avenue (Exit 104), between 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., weather permitting, and is estimated to last for the next 30 days, weather permitting.

Additionally, Interstate 10 will be closed in the eastbound direction on Monday, March 17, and Tuesday, March 18. This closure will take place along Interstate 10 at Louisiana Avenue (Exit 104), between 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., weather permitting. Motorists can detour via Louisiana Avenue (Exit 104) to La. 94 (Carmel Drive/West Mills Avenue) to La. 328 (Rees Street) to Interstate 10. Local law enforcement will be present to assist with the detour route.
