Don’t Plant The Wrong Flowers This Fall [VIDEOS]
Don't spend money on plants that won't survive a south Louisiana winter. There are flowering plants that will be just fine through the winter and even into next spring, you just have to know what to buy.
Here it is August in Louisiana and Christmas will be here before you know it. And we all remember what happened last year. Even though it's about to cool off in the Pelican state, your yard doesn't have to become brown and unattractive.
Mums, pansies and petunias are hardy flowering plants that do quite well in the winter months. The pansy flower is also edible!
Planting a fall crop now will allow for the root structure to establish which will make your plants bigger and more beautiful well into spring.
Use these plants this fall/winter, becaause a yard is a terrible thing to waste.
