Don’t Get Burned By Tequila And Lime On Cinco De Mayo!

It's been said the residents of South Louisiana are so fond of celebrating, we'll hold a festival to celebrate a flat tire. Well... today is Cinco de Mayo. I'm pretty sure some margaritas will be consumed today.

That being said, I have a word of caution. If you'll be enjoying the most popular Cinco de May concoction, stay out of the sun. The oil of the lime makes skin very sensitive to light, and can cause a condition called photodermatitis, commonly referred to as "Margarita Dermatitis."

ABC News reports, last year, five girls in California suffered second degree burns after smashing limes with rocks and adding them to drinks. They say the tequila will kill you. Who knew it was really the limes?!
