Donate Halloween Candy To Overseas Troops Through Nov 3

How can you send your Halloween candy to our troops overseas? Well, you could package it up, find addresses for some of our troops, head to the post office to buy postage and mail your package. Or, you could just drop the candy off at the Kool Smiles Dental Office in Lafayette.

Kool Smiles is working with "Operation Troop Treats" to get your unused/still wrapped/unwanted Halloween candy into the hands of our troops, as well as help keep out troops supplied with dental hygiene items.

If your child donates at least 25 pieces of candy, he or she will receive a free toy! All of the donated candy will be sent in care packages to troops serving overseas (thanks to Operation Gratitude!).

According to the press release from Kool  Smiles, more than 4 tons of candy were donated through this program last year. Let's beat that number this year!

The program runs through November 3rd. You can drop off candy to be donated at Kool Smiles, 2001 NW Evangeline Thruway in Lafayette. Their business hours:

• Thursday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Saturday, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
