There's nothing like being alone with your music.  Music can be as therapeutic as a visit to your therapist or doctor, especially when it's just you and it.

For as long as I can remember, music could take me places no mode of transportation could. Music can lift you up, level you off, make you come to your senses and of course make you dance like it's the first time you realized you had legs.

Being on the air for almost 35 years, I can't even begin to tell you how many requests for songs that came along with a story.  Almost everyone has a story attached to a song.  I love it when a song can stop you in your tracks.  One of those that no matter where you are, the mall, a party or in an elevator, that one song that affects you like no other.

Music is so important to humans, research shows how beneficial it is for fetuses to hear music in the womb.  Even before we can understand what it is, it's helpful to us.

Can you imagine a planet without music?  To me, music is as necessary as air, water and sunshine.  I simply can't imagine a world without music.  That's why it is important that we keep music in our schools and we should teach our children not to steal it off the internet so that artists don't keep it for themselves.

My friend Dennis sent me this tonight on Facebook, which prompted me to write this post.  I thought I'd share it with you.
