I've seen items from both ends of the spectrum of what can be thrown from Mardi Gras floats, from the usual beads and trinkets, to anatomically correct dolls to rosaries and even, ahem...condoms.

But last Saturday's Youngsville parade marked the first time I ever saw shampoo thrown from a float. And shampoo that's practically beer, at that.

As you can see in the photo I took of the shampoo packet, the shampoo contains "malt, brewer's yeast, and orange zest." Sounds like a wonderful, citrusy beer like a Blue Moon ale. I haven't opened it yet, but I have to admit, if it tastes and smells good enough, I might have to sample it before I use it to wash my hair.
