Disney Princess Merida Gets A Makeover, Critics Aren’t Happy

Disney princess, Brave's Merida, needed a makeover before officially becoming a Disney princess.  So why are some people not happy about it?

The animated heroine was officially crowned the 11^th Disney princess last weekend, you may have seen her on Ellen today, but before she was made Disney's latest princess, they decided she needed a few tweaks to her image.

The new Merida is thinner, with perfected facial features, tamed hair and a more suggestive dress.  Critics are not happy.  They claim Merida was always independent and strong and a great role model especially for young girls and that the new changes almost make her Disney's new politically correct princess.

Just remember, we will always have Cinderella.
