Did You Witness a Hit and Run on Johnston St.?

Lafayette Police are asking for your help investigating a hit and run fatality. On April 20, 2012, at approximately 2:20 am, police responded to the 4500 block of Johnston Street regarding a crash involving a pedestrian. The victim, a 33 year old male of Lafayette, was found lying on the roadway with injuries consistent to that of being struck by a vehicle. The suspect vehicle fled the scene and there were no witnesses located. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Traffic investigators are asking anyone with information about the crash to call the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
