In my attempt to prepare people for what I call the 'cat - astrophe,' a conflict that will see felines across the globe take up claws against their human masters, I've shared a number of horrifying stories with you. Cats using mind - control on their owners, cats preparing to attack infants, cats bullying dogs and even children.

Nothing, however, compares with today's story.

ABC News spoke with Nicole Rienzie of Long Island, New York, who found a black kitten on the side of the road years ago during a dark period in her life. Instead of seeing the creature as an omen to be feared and avoided, Rienzie kept the creature, naming it 'Monk.' The dark creature's fangs soon grew unnaturally long, a telltale sign of its hellish origins.

Despite this, Rienzie kept the demonic spawn, probably due to the monster's hypnotic power over her. Most disturbing of all is the following the hellcat has amassed on Instagram: a whopping 25, 000 followers. I don't know if this devil spawn can hypnotize humans through Instagram, but it's not a risk I think we should be taking. Make no mistake, this creature is the first in a new line of agents of the impending cat - astrophe.

I will be sending Rienzie a set of these and hope that she will be able to break free of the vile beast's sway long enough to destroy its hold over her and her Instagram followers.
