New ‘X Factor‘ judge Demi Lovato showed off her vocal chops during an intimate concert for VEVO, where she sang four songs from her ‘Unbroken’ album and the title track from her debut, ‘Don’t Forget.’

John Legend may not think Lovato is a great singer, but she did her best to provide evidence to the contrary during the VEVO set. She opened with her most recent hit, ‘Give Your Heart a Break,’ a catchy track that sounded more vibrant performed with a live band. Next came the ballad ‘Fix a Heart,’ which she performed acoustically for the first time.

Lovato reached back to her Disney era with the 2008 song ‘Don’t Forget,’ which she performed on guitar, before finishing up with ‘My Love Is Like a Star’ and her comeback hit ‘Skyscraper.’ The 19-year-old acknowledged being nervous during the performance because the venue and crowd were so small. “Like, I can see your eyeballs!” she said to the lucky fans in front.

The show was a preview of what fans may see on Lovato’s summer tour, which begins June 12 in Del Mar, Calif. Hot Chelle Rae will appear on most of the dates. The tour will not interrupt Lovato’s duties with ‘X Factor,’ where she joins Britney Spears as the newest judges on Simon Cowell‘s singing competition show. Lovato said of ‘X Factor,’ “I am totally stoked to be here… I’m excited to represent my generation, and I’m ready to find the winner!”
