After the New England Patriots defeated the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC title game, en route to the 4th Super Bowl championship of the Belichick, Brady era, allegations surfaced that the Pats had tampered with game balls. Several balls were found to be under inflated. Quarterback Tom Brady, and head coach Bill Belichick denied any knowledge of game balls being deliberately under inflated, allegedly to make them easier to throw. Attorney Ted Wells was appointed to investigate. He issued his report on Wednesday, May 6th. Yahoo sports reports, Wells found credible evidence Brady was at least aware of the violations. Here's a direct quote from the Wells report...

"Based on the evidence developed in connection with the investigation and summarized in this Report, we have concluded that it is more probable than not that New England Patriots personnel participated in violations of the NFL Playing Rules and were involved in a deliberate attempt to circumvent those rules."

The Patriots have run into trouble with the league before. Coach Belichick was fined $500,000 by the league in connection with an illegal videotaping scandal in 2007. Being a long time Saints, fan I'll be watching the fallout from this with great interest, as will the rest of Who Dat Nation.
