Deb’s Favorite Emmy – Lead Actress in a Comedy

I hate to say it, but I found much of the Emmy Awards show to be a bore. Too many shows on networks I don't get, too many actors I've never heard of, and just too many skinny people in beautiful clothes, period. And then came the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy award. When the first name was called, Amy Poelher, and she went up on the stage, I actually chuckled. Then when Melissa McCarthy, Martha Plimpton, Edie Falco, Tina Fey and Laura Linney came up as though they were the finalists in a beauty pageant, I laughed out loud! Did you hear Melissa McCarthy's acceptance speech? She was great! I've never seen Mike & Molly, but I will make it a point to check it out now.
