Tropical Storm Debby's winds are down to 50 mph, according to the latest reports this morning. The National Hurricane Center has adjusted the forecast track for Tropical Storm Debby, allowing Louisiana to relax a bit, except for families planning a trip to Florida, where the Panhandle is expected to receive ten to fifteen inches of rain. Two tornadoes touched down yesterday in Highlands County, causing one death. Yesterday, Gov. Bobby Jindal declared a state of emergency because at that time, the forecast tracks had Debby making landfall in Louisiana, slowly tracking west across the southern portion of the state.
