(That's our 15 year old rat terrier, Chi Chi, you hear in the background on the video. Whenever anyone goes into the kitchen, she thinks it's time to eat.)

My husband, Dave, doesn't cook a lot, but when he does, it's the most interesting meal in the world. Seriously, he can make a great meatloaf. As a matter of fact, it's so good, we've taken to calling it Dave's Famous Meatlof. It's actually our go to meal when people are coming over. (We've trained our friends and family to have low expectations when they come over!) After I tried to make it and failed many, many times, he asked his Mom for her recipe, then tweaked it a little, taking it from the dish he remembered from his childhood to something that probably cuts our a few ingredients and steps, but comes pretty close to Mom's. This recipe makes two small loaves of meat.

Ingredients (all are approximate measurements as Dave doesn't measure)

2 lbs. of ground beef (grass fed is probably best, but we don't always use that)

1 1/2 cups of seasoning mix (Guidry's or Fresh Pickins both work fine)

1 tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce or Coconut Aminos

1/4 cup of ketchup

1 egg

Salt & Pepper

Mix it all up, then form into 2 loaves.

Cook for around an hour at 350 degrees.

I'll add a nice salad, two sweet potatoes, a couple of glasses of Pinto Noir or Cabernet and we'll watch 'The Voice.'
