Well, "doom" might be a bit of an exaggeration. But there was some property damage and one burned bovid.

Ninety flatulent cows caused an explosion at a German farm shed on Monday. The high levels of methane resulting from their colon-relieving exhaust and what authorities believe was probably a static electric discharge led to a small explosion. The blast damaged the roof of the shed and singed one of the animals. No people were hurt by the blast.
