    Roux Spoon

    If you're not familiar with the phrase "First you make a roux," this probably looks like a worn old spoon. Well, that's kind of how the idea originated. In the old days, cooks would stir their black iron pots making roux for a gumbo until the spoon evolved into the perfect implement for scraping the bottom of the pot. A Roux Spoon is a wonderful conversation starter and a useful tool.

    Zydeco Rubboard

    It originated from an actual washboard, but has evolved into an instrument which must be worn to fully embrace the sound it contributes to Zydeco music. Ask anybody who's ever put one on and they'll tell you that you can really feel the music. Anybody can play one, but there are only a handful of performers who have mastered it.
