Cook-Off To Benefit Local Veterans

The Inaugural Chicken Wing and Thigh Cook-off to benefit local veterans will take place on July 22 at Cajun Harley-Davidson in Scott.

The cook-off is to help fund the Patriot Guard Riders Annual Veteran's Care Package Drive, which takes place each year to provide local veterans in retirement homes with basic necessities like toiletries, lap blankets, socks and the like.

The Patriot Guard Riders are currently seeking out teams to participate in the cook-off. Entry fee for each team is $25. Arrival/set-up time is 8am; judging begins at 11am. Interested in entering a team? Call Robert Lebon for more information at 337-356-4579

All Jacked Up Jeepers is co-sponsoring the event, which will include a Jeep Show-n-Shine, 50/50 raffle and music. Dessert plates will be available for $2. A $5 wristband will enable you to sample all you care to eat, while supplies last.
