The Academic Enrichment Program at Comeaux High just completed a fantastic 2015-2016 year. Below is a list of the students' achievements over the last year. Congratulations to these students, their families, and teachers!

Robotics Class

Comeaux High School VEX Robotics Team received the Engineering Design Award and Sportsmanship Award at State and received 9th out of 82 teams at Nationals in Iowa in April 2016. The captains of the team were Jordan Ramjit and Adam Savely. Other students on the team were Austin Huffman, Devon Davis, Tommy Nguyen, Janssen Dalton, and Bailey Grebinger. Comeaux High School participated in Mini-Urban Challenge with EV3 LEGO Robotics sponsored by DooLittle Institute. The two teams participated consisting of 10 members.

Other Robotics Competitions

FIRST FRC Team 3616 participated in both Bayou Regional in Kenner, LA in March 2016 and Lone Star Regional in Houston, TX in April 2016. The team consisted of 47 members.

Robotics Camp

We, Robotics Team 3616, are busy preparing for our 2nd Annual Robotics Camp. We are looking forward to fun learning experience.

Science Research

Three students from Comeaux High School were chosen as ISEF finalist to participate in May 2016 at the International Science and Engineering Fair in Phoenix, Arizona. Before being chosen as finalist, all three students placed first at the school, parish, regional, and state level.
The competition consisted of some of the brightest minds from 77 countries and regions. A total of 1750 students participated with 22 different categories.
- Drake Bergeron and Tommy Nguyen: Eichhornia crassipes: Phytoremediation Viability for Heavy Metals in Hostile Waters.
- Samuel Senegal II: Testing of the Mpemba Effect at Varying Salinities
Samuel Senegal received a 3rd place Award of $2000.00 from the American Chemical Society. He is a junior at Comeaux High.
Comeaux High students received 30 awards at the Regional Science and Engineering Fair at U.L.L. in February 2016 and 12 awards at the State Science and Engineering Fair at L.S.U. in March.

Ocean/Marine Bowl

Comeaux High School participated in Hurricane Bowl (Regional Ocean Bowl) in Ocean Springs, Mississippi in February 2016 and placed 6th out of 20 schools and four states in the Region.

Health Occupation Students of America

Twelve students from Comeaux High School qualified for Nationals at the State Conference in March 2016 for HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) being held in Tennessee in June 2016.
