The generosity continues. Sure, they may be rivals on the field, but when it comes to providing a lending hand, teams from the Sun Belt Conference and the SEC answer the call.

The University of South Alabama announced early this week that they were holding a supply drive to benefit those affected by the flood in Lafayette. South Alabama is holding a week-long supply drive and the athletic department will deliver the goods to Lafayette early next week.

In the SEC, the South Carolina Gamecocks are doing likewise. They too will load up a semitrailer and deliver goods to the flood stricken parts of south Louisiana. The Gamecocks will deliver goods to the Baton Rouge area.

Regardless of what you think about these teams on the field, there's one thing you cannot deny about these schools, they have class.

It's amazing to see how such rivals can come together in need. After all, would we expect anything less? This certainly deserves a cheer or two from Cajuns and Tiger fans.
