Community Groups Collaborate For Industrial Job Fair Thursday
A group of community partners is collaborating to fill industrial trade jobs across South Louisiana by holding a job fair in Lafayette Thursday.
Lafayette Economic Development Authority (LEDA), LED FastStart, Louisiana Workforce Commission (LWC) and One Acadiana are collaborating to host the event.
The job fair will be held at the Cajundome Convention Center, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Some participating companies include contractors building natural gas plants such as Turner, Bechtel, and CB&I. Other contractors are building industrial plants, such as,PPG Industries, Brown & Root Industrial, Pala Group, and more.
Companies participating at the event are hiring for industrial positions across south Louisiana, including, among others:
- Pipefitters
- Electricians
- Ironworkers
- Painters
- Equipment Operators
- Steel Erectors
- Welders
- Instrument Technicians
- Carpenters
- Boilermakers
