‘Clean Out Your Freezer Day’ is This Sunday

The Saints aren’t playing Sunday. The Acadiana Hunters for the Hungry are holding their annual fish & game food drive Sunday, from 10-3.

Local sportsmen & Women are encouraged to clean out fish & processed game from the freezer, and bring it to a local collection point. Donations can be dropped off at Cajun Field in Lafayette, Chops Specialty Meats in Broussard, the Carencro Fire Station, Sirius Computer Service in Eunice, Nissan of Opelousas, and First Assembly of God Church in Youngsville. Last year, more than 8,000 pounds of fish & game were collected providing 26,000 meals to needy persons in Acadiana. Donations benefit the Opelousas Lighthouse Mission, and are tax deductible.
