The City of Crowley passed a sagging pants ordinance in August. It takes effect at 12:01 a.m. Friday. The ordinance bans “the wearing of outer clothing sagging below the waist exposing the undergarments in public places or in public view.”
Violators face misdemeanor charges. they'll be subject to fines of not more than 200 dollars, a prison term of not less than 60 days or both. A second offense brings a fine of not less than 100 dollars, a prison term of 15 to 60 days, or both. A third violation brings a fine of between 150 and 200 dollars, a prison term of 30 to 60 days, or both.
If you're in the Crowley area, I suggest you wear a belt & pull your pants up.
